Ingredients
For the Masala
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp coriander seeds
- ¾ tbsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
- 4–5 dry red chillies (adjust based on spice level)
- Salt as needed
- 2–3 tbsp oil
For the Curry
- 250–300g dondakaya / kovakkai (ivy gourd)
- Remaining masala paste
- Little water
- Salt if needed
- 2 tbsp oil

- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add sliced onions and sauté for 2 minutes.
